Bed in Hotel Nikko Kanazawa
My wife and stayed here for the 5th leg of our Japan honeymoon. The staff were extremely friendly and professional here, and our interactions with them were the best out of the 9 hotels we stayed at in Japan. I had been in contact with the hotel since booking to arrange a surprise here for my wife - flowers and chocolate - and Ms. Yoshie Hyuga at Hotel Nikko was able to facilitate my request. She was very attentive to detail, and went as far to ask for any specific flowers I wanted incorporated (orchids) and suggested adding a message to the flowers too -- something I hadn't thought of but of course wanted! Leading up to the stay, Ms. Hyuga kept in contact with me, letting me know the prices for various bouquet sizes, and answering any additional questions I had. When we arrived at Hotel Nikko, our luggage that we had forwarded to the hotel was brought up to the room via the bell service that escorted us to our room and made sure that everything was to our liking. And the bouquet was there, which made both my wife (who was totally surprised) and I very happy. The room itself was very large, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with amenities. The curtains for this room were very good at keeping the room dark, which was a nice change from the hotels we had stayed at prior. Making reservations for the hotel restaurant and bar was a very smooth process, both of which had extremely good food and drinks at shockingly affordable prices. The bar also has a nice jazzy feel with a live singer and pianist. This made for a truly romantic evening. This was one of our favorite stays during our honeymoon. The hotel is located right next to Kanazawa Station, is well insulated from city noise, has great restaurants on the top floors. I would have been happy to spend 3x the rate I paid to stay here.

The hotel location and facilities are first class with no questions. The hotel staffs are so kind, lovely and helpful. The day I checked in hotel was raining heavily and we arrived hotel too early, about 10am. My wife and I had no umbrella walked from train station to hotel with two big suitcases and of course all wetted. The hotel staff saw us and immediately served us with dry towels to dry ourselves. And we left our suitcases with them because too early to check in. We asked them to help to keep our suitcases before we can check in; and I saw them using clean towels to dry our suitcases carefully! We then returned the towels she gave us to dry ourselves earlier. She said that I can keep those towels! And we were provided two umbrellas so that we can walk around before checking in hotel. When we came back to check in hotel later, our suitcases are in our room!! How a warm welcome from hotel! We were treated like an VIP!

This review is a long time coming. I want to share with the whole world how amazing this hotel is I’m not exaggerating we were treated like a VIP and a good friend. That combination of treatment is only seen in the finest properties worldwide and we received it here in Kanazawa. We stayed in a world famous ryokan the following night, and while that was also superb. The service at this much larger hotel left us with high expectations. Even if we weren’t upgraded to a high floor view room, the rooms themselves are immaculately clean, plush, quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Concierge made great recommendations. Take advantage of the skybar lounge. Beautiful piano music and precision-made classic cocktails. All this right across from the station. You could easily stay here a month (if there was that much to do in Kanazawa.) Congrats Hotel Nikko Team domo arigato gozaimasssssu! 🙏

1. Worth for the location. 200 to 300m from the train station. A rental car company just right besides the hotel. Convienence shops are abundantly available just walking station. 2. The receptionists and the customer service are friendly! and a Taiwanese lady named , Chang is good. Need someone who understands my needs. 3. The room is spacious. I requested for 1 single bed for 1 more pax. In fact, a bed is spacious for 2 pax. 4. The ammenities are abundant! Every thing is covered from head to toes. 5. The room is super clean. No dust at all. 6. Worth the money for family/couple to travel.

Hotel is located 5 minute walk from the Kanazawa train station. Very convenient to take Kanazawa Loop bus or other public transportation bus, bus stops are located at the train station. The JR Pass works for the Loop Bus. This is an older hotel but well kept up,impeccable, has large rooms. Nice inviting lobby. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived early, our room wasn't ready so they stored our luggage while we went out sightseeing. The breakfast was extraordinary, large variety of Western and Japanese breakfast choices. No line at breakfast to be seated.
